Service Department Dispatcher
Job Title: Service Dispatcher:
Summary: Dispatches service workers to service and maintain HVAC, Plumbing and Electric systems for residence, multi-family units and businesses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Answer calls from customers and provide outstanding customer service
- Determine and schedule work to be done according to urgency and location
- Verify availability of parts and equipment to ensure scheduled work performance
- Inform workers of type and location of work to be performed
- Dispatch workers to job
- Receive monies from technicians for service work performed
- Maintain records for customer base
- Bill customers for time and material work with assistance from accountant
- Verify time sheets
- File
Additional Responsibilities:
Prepare reports summarizing department activity
Assist in marketing service contracts
Typing of quotes and proposals
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
High School Degree, 3 years experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Data Entry Skills, ability to learn and become proficient with dispatch software
- Being reliable, responsible, dependable, honest and ethical.
- Able to work independently.
Working Conditions:
General office conditions.
Work Hours: 6:30 – 3:30
